RE: Help... Leaking black water valve on 2005 Jayco 26s

I changed the gray water valve on my Jayco earlier this summer. I had to split the underbelly covering to access the valve. When finished, I used Eternabond tape to seal the underbelly. We just got back from Alaska and the Eternabond held. BTW, be sure the black tank is empty and thoroughly cleaned!

RE: Maxxis Tires

I put new ones on the trailer in June. We just got back from Alaska, 9700 miles and absolutely no problems. I would highly recommend Maxxis 8008 tires

RE: Buying gas in Canada

We are on our way back from Alaska (in McBride BC now) and every place including gas stations honored our Master Card and Visa cards. If you have 2 cards, check with the financial institution that issued them to see what, if any, foreign transaction they charge.

RE: Gas grill use in bear country

If you are in bear country, store everything. Do not put food, grease or anything else that would attract bears (grizzly or black) into the fire pit. Do not leave food, pet food or pet bowls our! If a bear identifies food with humans or human activity, the bear will become a problem bear and have to be destroyed. Be safe.

RE: Altitude Adjustment on Honda eu2000i

I have the high altitude jet for my Honda 2000i. I found the instructions for the swap on the internet. The swap is a 10 minute job. I leave the high altitude jets in unless we are going to be below 5K feet as we are now in Alaska. I got mine from Ball Power Equipment in Parkville MO 816 891-8700.

RE: UPDATE: Campbell Hwy, north of Watson Lake -- pictures added

The visitor's center at Watson Lake advised us not to take the Campbell Highway because of the mining activity along the road. Sure glad we did not take it.

RE: Caravan over TOW on Sunday?

Plan for a good days trip over Top of the World Hwy from Dawson. On the American side the road is gravel and the Canadian side is paved and gravel. Not bad roads but take it slow. I will never stop at Chicken again. I was not impressed at all.

RE: Alaska at today's fuel price

We leave for Alaska June 10 providing nothing goes wrong. We both retired this year and are in good health. Who knows if we can afford the trip in the future or if our health will allow such a trip later. We have planned this trip for a couple of years and WE ARE GOING!

RE: Electric Tongue Jack

Just put my Ultra Fab 3502 on today. What a difference! No more hand cranking. I would go with the 3500. A little too much capacity is better than not enough. Remember you will be lifting the back end of the truck so you can get your Equal-i-er bars off easily.

RE: Considering Alaska Trip

We are making the Alaska trip this summer. I retire next week so this will be our "trip of a lifetime". Fuel is not going to get any cheaper. We have our health and the financial resources now. Why put it off? Just my opinion.

RE: Fishing access site outside Hardin, MT on Hwy 47

Make sure the fishing access is not on the Indian reservation or you will have to buy a tribal license.
